HOW IT GOT STARTED
What is it that fuels you? For me, it’s MY PASSION TO ENGINEER AND LEARN. I love conceptualizing and if within my available resources, realize them. I have worked on many projects as such, with many people, enriching my knowledge on the way. And yes, giving back to the society that molded me to be the person I am today.
I hope you enjoy browsing through a few projects I have worked on.

MY UNDERGRADUATE PROJECTS
When theory meets practice, we learn beyond books. Hard-work, Resilience, Teamwork, Craftsmanship, and Perseverance all leading to a feeling of accomplishment and joy. I have worked on several projects during my Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering. A few of my favorites are here for you.
Electronic Dismantler
Team Members: Arjun B S, Arun Baby, Harisankar R, Neeraj Narendran, and Saeed Rila
Concept: An automated system for removing components from damaged or discarded PCBs for repairing as well as for extracting heavy elements using machine vision and mechatronics.
Awards and Recognition: The project was selected for the finals of NIYANTRA 2016 annual design competition organized by National Instruments out of over 1000 projects across India.
Contribution: Mechatronic system design and fabrication, LabVIEW programming for machine vision and actuation.
Affiliation: Government Engineering College, Bartonhill, Trivandrum.
Automated Pick and Place Robot
Team Members: Arjun B S and Aravind SS
Concept: A pick and place robot designed to pick balls based on visual feedback from an onboard and overhead camera.
Awards and Recognition: The robot was developed for participating in the Prefinals of National Team Selection for Worldskills under the category of Mobile Robotics. We had qualified for Prefinal securing Second position.
Contribution: Robot design and fabrication, LabVIEW programming for machine vision and robot control.
Affiliation: Government Engineering College, Bartonhill, Trivandrum.
Automated brick assembly robot
Team Members: Arjun B S, Rohaan George Thomas, Sreelesh S, and Viswanath AS
Concept: An automated cartesian robot made from modifying a 3D printer to automatically assemble LEGO bricks for building a house based on the plan given as input.
Contribution: Design and fabrication of grippers and brick feed mechanism, and programming for converting plan of the house to GCODE for building the house.
Affiliation: Government Engineering College, Bartonhill, Trivandrum.

RC Boat
Team Members: Arjun B S, Ramakrishnan V, Rohaan George Thomas, and Sreelesh S
Concept: A remote-controlled boat fabricated from fiberglass and powered by a 5500KV Watercooled Brushless DC motor.
Contribution: Boat design and fabrication based on buoyancy for self-flipping, and electronics.
Affiliation: Government Engineering College, Bartonhill, Trivandrum.
